This is a painting of Aftyn Rose from the Legs and feet massage video. This is another picture I thought I might be able to tackle, despite the wealth of little details, and I think it turned out pretty good! I must say, though, if I never have to paint those Rhode microphones again, I’ll be happy.
As an experiment, I’m going to upload the full-length process video for this one. Procreate captures them at a rate of 1 frame per second. 10 minute video tells you this painting took me a touch over 10 hours to complete. That’s faster than I expected, actually. The Pink kitten portrait took 10.5 hours. If you like the longer length, let me know.
You can see I struggled to get the sketch phases right here. My proportions were stubbornly off, and I was continually having to reshape and resize things to make it work. I kept at it, though. Slowly but surely I am gaining confidence in that process.
The parts I am happiest with are her hand(!) and that top tier of pillow critters. I also dig how the red light at the top left of frame really seeps into the stuff around it.
