Portrait of Reddit user teknekt for the DrawMe subreddit. I’m not entirely sure what pulled me into this piece, but it was fun to draw. This was my first time going for a kind of “wet” look to the paints. I like the messiness and expression they give, although I’d probably be better served applying the techniques to more colorful subjects.
Looking at it in large form, I kind of regret the amount of detail I put into that foreground bottle. The bright color and details detract from the intended focal point.
