Page 9 of my boobs challenge series. A bunch of interesting challenges here again. The sketches are getting a little easier now, and this set I think the clothing details work a lot better than on prior sets. As I drew, a line Kenzo said kept popping into my head: “Look for excuses to show the forms curve.” You can see it around some of the curves on arms or bellies. Some of these do a better job than others of that, but I do feel like I’ve made progress in that regard. So much of what you perceive as the depth of a thing is tied up in its shading.
Just one more sheet full to go before I move on to the next thing. My inclination is to do that set in pencil and give it some real care — finish on a strong note.
