The last month has been full of bad news for pets, both mine and that of my friends. The ongoing series of tragedies has been hard to receive. I decided to make this painting to celebrate the spirit of one of the dogs hard hit in this time. I present to you Tycho, AKA Tychopath, a little dachshund mix a friend rescued from a literal gutter. He is chock full of enthusiasm and love, is a passionate chewer and tug-of-war gamer, and never met a stuffie he couldn’t eviscerate. He is all heart. He is fighting his way through a grievous injury. I think if anyone can muster the spirit to recover, he can. I look forward to every crumb of positive news.
