This drawing of Aftyn Rose was my first portrait done in Krita, made with a combination of pencil and charcoal tools. You can see in places where I struggle with how those tools apply color. Maybe it’s a matter of not holding the stylus with steady pressure, but the shade work is a mess.
This is what got the ball rolling for me after a few weeks of pointless noodling with the cheap Huion tablet I got in early 2021. When I produced this, I thought: this is beautiful (for something I made!). I would like to produce more things like this. And that’s how I got back into art.
