Kimodameshi 2025, week 2

Kimodameshi 2025 continues. Fewer pieces than last week, and I’ve been testing different styles and subjects more than I expected, but I do feel my art muscles growing. In particular, I have noticed that my ability to doodle on paper is improving.

The piece above was for the weekly quest. The challenge was to start a piece in one medium and end in another. I chose to start with pencil & paper and finish digitally. Here was the initial sketch:
